CELEBRITY Big Brother has been hit with a slew of Ofcom complaints with angry fans citing “inappropriate behaviour.”
Viewers of the ITV reality series had vowed to contact the broadcasting watchdog after host Will Best stepped in to protect AJ Odudu from “creepy Mickey Rourke.”
They called out a moment on the first night of the new ITV series which saw Celebrity Big Brother anchor AJ, 37, in an awkward encounter with Mickey, 72, when he twirled her around on the stage and said “nice outfit” before pulling her towards him.
When Mickey continued to ogle AJ, she raised her voice slightly and said: “Stop looking at me … it’s time for you to get inside the house!”
The moment promoted many fans to take to X in an angry frenzy, with one posting: “@Ofcom you need to investigate This kind of Behaviour from Any Celebrity.”
They added: “Get Michael Rourke Removed from the CBB House for Inappropriately Touchy Behaviour Towards AJ Odudu.”
Now Ofcom has told how 89 complaints about CBB’s opening 2025 episode had been submitted.
FAN FURY
At the time, one fan took to X to write: “Oh god! I have a horrible feeling #MickeyRourke is going to be one of three types of housemate. The weird one, the creepy one, or the nutty one. Probably all of the above!”
One then said: “Okay Mickey was very creepy with AJ.”
Another demanded: “Get Mickey out.”
One commented: “Mickey’s getting kicked out.”
Fans also noticed Will’s intervention, with one writing: “It was so uncomfortable watching him harass AJ on live TV.
“I liked how Will Best protected AJ throughout that segment.”
Their comments came after fears Mickey would “cancel himself” due to his antics.
He was recently seen on his final night out before being holed up in the ITV compound.

The Chatty Man host said: “Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Wow his eyes.
“Find someone who looks at you the way Mickey looks at you [AJ]. His tongue was hanging out.”
AJ replied: “It literally was. I was like ‘You can’t afford these feathers Mickey, no’.”
Arriving in the compound, the actor – who won a Bafta for his role in the acclaimed 2008 film The Wrestler – was greeted by housemates doing a massive conga.
Ahead of the show, party animal Mickey said: “I have no expectations. I’ve never seen it.
“I’m just going to go in, do my thing, and we’ll see.”
SHOW EXIT?
Yet some fans are now convinced the screen star will quit the reality TV series in days.
Mickey was the first celebrity invited into Big Brother’s Prize Room, where he seemed to struggle to understand the instructions.
As Big Brother chatted to him, he fiddled with the prizes in the room and looked unsure of what was happening.
Prior to entering the house, Mickey told The Sun that his acting career was in the toilet.
