LOUIS Walsh has said he wanted to quit Celebrity Big Brother and “climb over the wall” twice after being axed in Friday’s dramatic final.

The X Factor favourite, 71, was nominated by his housemates throughout the three-week run for not pulling his weight in the kitchen.

Louis Walsh left Celebrity Big Brother in fourth place

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the showbiz gossip he shared from his years in the business.

But despite bringing memorable moments to the show, he admitted he struggled with his mental health and was close to walking more than once.

Louis said: “I am so glad to be out we had a brilliant time it was scary, it’s the best show in town but it’s scary.

“I nearly wanted to go a few times. It really is tough at night time. Daytime is okay.

“There were two times I wanted to leave, I wanted to climb over the wall. I had anxiety one or two of the night.”

Louis arrived in the spy house alongside longtime pal Sharon Osbourne, 71, and between them the duo set the screen alight with explosive revelations from their time in the spotlight.

Both shared tales from their stints as judges on Simon Cowell’s talent show before Sharon checked out the house following her pre-agreed seven day stay.

But Louis really let rip when it came to his dealings in the music industry.

He branded singer Ronan Keating a “pr*ck” and Irish pop twins Jedward as “vile”, alongside spilling a string of stories like how Hollywood’s Colin Farrell wanted to audition for Boyzone, Mariah Carey refused to use stairs and how he once persuaded U2 to stick with their manager.

Louis lost out to Ibiza Weekender star David Potts, who went into the final as the bookies favourite.

David said of Louis: “Louis, you definitely gave the panto villain vibe but deep down you are a real softie.”

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin came third, whilst Corrie’s Colson Smith was fourth.

Daytime TV legend Fern Britton was fifth in the special final, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.

The series will return with a new batch of civilians in autumn and with a raft of game celebrities in 2025.
